LAND ENERGY LTD pellets are produced using only raw material deriving from agricultural and forest crops and processing by-products of the virgin wood industry. The simple mechanical processing of wood, without the addition of any additives, allows Land Energy pellets to be a natural and neutral product for human health and the environment, like traditional wood. Furthermore, the pellet is a renewable product as it derives from raw materials of vegetable origin, continuously reproduced in nature. The same cannot be said of fossil energy sources, such as gas and petroleum derivatives, which are not renewable. The pellet consists only of virgin wood and therefore, burning the pellet is equivalent to burning traditional wood.
It is important to know that the combustion of pellets does not increase the overall carbon dioxide present in the atmosphere, as it releases an amount of CO2 equal to that absorbed by the tree during growth and is the same that would be produced by the natural decomposition of wood. .
The environmental policy of LAND ENERGY LTD is in line with the provisions of the Kyoto protocol, which provides for the obligation for all countries that have acceded to the treaty to reduce the emissions of certain pollutants such as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrogen oxide, responsible for the greenhouse effect.
